At HEALTH 1st you pay no more than you can afford. We welcome MaineCare and other insurance. We accept most major credit cards.

HEALTH 1^st - Provides primary health and family planning services through:

MEDICAL SERVICES

• Screening, testing and treatment for common health problems, including sexually transmitted infections
• Wellness exams for women
• Birth control methods
• Education and guidance regarding health and sexuality issues, including pregnancy options and safer sexual practices
• Anonymous HIV testing (including OraSure)
• Free Hepatitis C testing
• Paternity testing for Maine Department of Human Services
• Sports and college physicals
• Breast and cervical health screenings for uninsured and under-insured women, who are age 40 and over
• Information and referral

EDUCATION SERVICES
Educational programs, consultation and resources for schools, churches, parents, professionals and community groups covering a broad range of health, sexuality, and reproductive health topics.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH SERVICES
Community-based outreach to priority populations in communities with high teen pregnancy rates throughout Aroostook County.

Getting Started
You can get a head start on the paperwork needed to register with HEALTH 1st. Just print and complete either the Male or Female Personal and Medical Initial History form and the Informed General Consent and bring them to your first HEALTH 1st appointment.
