Helping Hands Telethon
Helping Hands Telethon will be hosted by Aroostook County Action Program, United Way Aroostook, and WAGM-TV, on Thursday, October 23rd. We aim to raise funds to meet emergency fuel needs for those who may not qualify for traditional assistance.
THAW Radiothon
The THAW Radiothon will be hosted by Community Action in Aroostook, Washington and Hancock Counties and Star 97.7 on Thursday, November 13. Every dollar rasied will bot only be distributed locally within Washington and Hancock Counties for envergy assistance but also connects reciepeints to supportive services.
Child Care
ACAP provides families high quality education, childcare and developmental services to children birth to 5 years old. No income guidelines and subsidies are available.
Home Energy Assistance Program
Provides financial assistance to income and program-eligible households to help address energy costs.
WE OFFER MORE THAN 40 PROGRAMS TO OUR COMMUNITY.
Services support aging adults in our community empowering members to live independently with volunteer support, as well as adult day services for those facing physical, mental, or memory challenges.
ACAP Coaching Services are available to individuals and families. Our coaches work with clients on overcoming challenges and identify pathways to achieving their goals. Coaches work alongside individuals and families offering guidance and support along the way.
ACAP provides families with comprehensive and affordable high quality prenatal, infant, toddler, and preschool education and child development programs. Services also include family and child health and nutrition services.
We keep people warm, safe, and dry in their homes with a variety of programs that offer education or assistance in areas of heating and energy efficiency, and home purchase, repair, and assistance for people facing foreclosure or eviction.
We build a stronger, healthier community by partnering with local and statewide organizations to offer prevention services that focus on nutrition, oral health, substance use, tobacco, obesity, and youth engagement.
Career Counselors assist program eligible job seekers to find and maintain stable employment, attain post-secondary credentials to increase their earning
potential and overcome barriers to employment.
