Backpacks & Bash: Getting Ready for School

Aroostook Backpack Project

The Aroostook Backpack Project helps local students get the school supplies they need to do well in school. Studies show that when kids have their own supplies, they do better in class, feel more confident, and enjoy learning more. These supplies are more than just pencils and notebooks—they help kids feel ready and excited to learn.

Our goal is to help families who may not be able to afford school supplies. We give out backpacks filled with the tools students need. This helps every student start the school year strong and gives them a better chance to succeed.

This is a donation-based project, made possible by the kindness of people in our community. Every donation helps a child feel prepared and supported as they head back to school.

Back to School Bash

The ACAP Back to School Bash is a fun and helpful event for families in Aroostook County. It’s a special day where kids can get free backpacks and school supplies to help them start the school year ready to learn. These supplies are donated by caring people and businesses in our community.

The event also includes games, activities, and booths with helpful information for parents. Families can learn about local programs that support health, learning, and more.

The Back to School Bash is on August 7,2025 at the ACAP Customer Service Center at 771 Main St. Presque Isle from 10:00 Am to 2:00 pm
